Indicator

Percentage of explosive ordnance risk education participants demonstrating safe behaviours and knowledge at follow-up

Definition & calculation

Numerator: Number of surveyed EORE participants who correctly identify safe behaviours and reporting actions regarding explosive ordnance at follow-up

Denominator: Total number of EORE participants surveyed at follow-up

Assess participants after EORE against defined safe-behaviour and knowledge criteria (recognition, avoidance, reporting) and calculate the share meeting the threshold over all assessed.

Formula: (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100

Means of verification

Post-EORE KAP survey, follow-up behaviour survey, community observation

Interpretation

Direction: Higher is better

Typical reporting frequency: Baseline, midline and endline (or annual)

Guidance & common pitfalls

Measures the effect of EORE beyond mere attendance; self-reported behaviour can be overstated, so triangulate with incident data and observation where feasible.

This library is a curated reference to adapt, aligned generically with recognised humanitarian frameworks (Sphere, cluster registries, IASC, CHS and others). It is not an official indicator registry — always use the exact indicator definitions your donor or cluster requires.
