Definition & calculation
Numerator: Number of targeted households that received at least one planned multi-purpose cash transfer during the reporting period
Denominator: Total number of households in the approved MPCA target/caseload for the same period
Divide households that actually received a transfer by the total planned target caseload and multiply by 100.
Formula: (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100
Means of verification
Distribution records reconciled against the targeting/registration list
Interpretation
Direction: Higher is better
Typical reporting frequency: Monthly or quarterly
Guidance & common pitfalls
Measures targeting delivery, not adequacy; investigate large gaps between reached and targeted (access constraints, exclusion errors, or over-optimistic targets).
This library is a curated reference to adapt, aligned generically with recognised humanitarian frameworks (Sphere, cluster registries, IASC, CHS and others). It is not an official indicator registry — always use the exact indicator definitions your donor or cluster requires.
