Definition & calculation
Numerator: Number of surveyed assisted households rating the shelter/NFI assistance as satisfactory or better across quality, quantity and timeliness
Denominator: Total number of surveyed assisted households
Households rate assistance on a defined satisfaction scale; those at or above the agreed satisfaction threshold are divided by all respondents.
Formula: (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100
Means of verification
Post-distribution monitoring; beneficiary satisfaction survey
Interpretation
Direction: Higher is better
Typical reporting frequency: Baseline, midline and endline (or annual)
Guidance & common pitfalls
Use a consistent scale and probe dimensions separately (quality, quantity, timeliness, dignity); triangulate with complaints data to reduce courtesy bias.
This library is a curated reference to adapt, aligned generically with recognised humanitarian frameworks (Sphere, cluster registries, IASC, CHS and others). It is not an official indicator registry — always use the exact indicator definitions your donor or cluster requires.
