Numerator: Number of trained teachers observed to meet the agreed threshold on a structured classroom-observation tool measuring learner-centred, inclusive and psychosocially supportive teaching practices
Denominator: Total number of trained teachers observed during the reporting period
Trained teachers are observed against a standardised competency checklist covering learner-centred, inclusive and protective practices, and those scoring at or above the agreed threshold are divided by all teachers observed.
Formula: (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100

Guidance & common pitfalls
Measures whether training changed practice rather than mere attendance or knowledge; use the same calibrated observation tool at baseline and follow-up and train observers to reduce bias. Do not confuse with counts of teachers trained.
