Definition & calculation
Numerator: Number of caregiver/community engagement sessions (e.g. parent-teacher meetings, awareness activities on enrolment, attendance and child protection) conducted as scheduled in the workplan
Denominator: Total number of caregiver/community engagement sessions planned for the reporting period
Sessions held on or before their planned date are compared against all engagement sessions scheduled in the workplan for the period, and the proportion completed on schedule is calculated.
Formula: (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100
Means of verification
Activity workplan; session attendance sheets; field activity reports
Interpretation
Typical reporting frequency: Per activity cycle / continuous
Guidance & common pitfalls
A process/delivery measure of activities against plan, not of resulting parental behaviour or attendance change; pair with an outcome indicator to assess whether engagement improved enrolment or retention.
This library is a curated reference to adapt, aligned generically with recognised humanitarian frameworks (Sphere, cluster registries, IASC, CHS and others). It is not an official indicator registry — always use the exact indicator definitions your donor or cluster requires.
