Numerator: Number of surveyed households classified as using no coping or only stress strategies on the Livelihood Coping Strategies Index
Denominator: Total number of surveyed households

Formula: (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100
Means of verification
Household food security/livelihoods survey (LCSI module)
Interpretation
Typical reporting frequency: Baseline, midline and endline (or annual)
Guidance & common pitfalls
LCSI captures asset-depleting and future-productivity-harming behaviours that food-consumption indicators miss; adapt the strategy list to context but retain the four severity categories for comparability. Aligned with Food Security Cluster and IPC conventions.
This library is a curated reference to adapt, aligned generically with recognised humanitarian frameworks (Sphere, cluster registries, IASC, CHS and others). It is not an official indicator registry — always use the exact indicator definitions your donor or cluster requires.
