Definition & calculation
Numerator: Number of supported producers who sold products through a facilitated formal market linkage or value-chain buyer during the reporting period
Denominator: Total number of supported producers surveyed
Survey supported producers on their sales channels and count those who transacted through a facilitated market linkage or contracted buyer, divided by all producers surveyed.
Formula: (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100
Means of verification
Producer or farmer survey; sales records; documented buyer agreements
Interpretation
Typical reporting frequency: Baseline, midline and endline (or annual)
Guidance & common pitfalls
Distinguish facilitated linkages from pre-existing informal sales and verify with sales records where available to reduce over-reporting.
