Numerator: Number of children aged 6-59 months who received a measles-containing vaccine dose during the campaign/period
Denominator: Estimated total number of children aged 6-59 months in the target area
Divide doses administered to the eligible age cohort by the estimated eligible population; validate with a post-campaign coverage survey where feasible.
Formula: (Numerator ÷ Denominator) × 100

Guidance & common pitfalls
Administrative coverage can exceed 100% due to weak denominators or in-migration, so triangulate with survey data. In acute emergencies measles is a priority antigen from 6 months of age.
